多数のアクセスならびにお問合せありがとうございます。多少長い説明となりますが、入札を検討している方のために、できるだけ詳しくお伝えしますので最後までお読みください。

レプリカではなく、本物の「テレビアン」真空管ラジオを出品いたします。
このラジオの製造元である山中電機株式会社は、今から約100年前の1922年に東京・大森で従業員21名で創業しました。このラジオは1938年に発表された真空管の4球高一再生式ラジオです。約6カ月かけて丹念にレストア（復元）しました。山中電機は、テレビ放送が存在しない時代に「テレビアン」というブランド名でラジオを販売しました。経営者はかなりの先見の明を持っていたようです。しかしながら山中電機は1956年に東芝に買収され、現在「テレビアン」は存在しないブランドですが、私の住む東京大田区に本社・工場があったことにとても親近感を感じます。

このラジオは発売当初の価格が49.5円であり、現在の価値に換算すると約8万6千円（日本銀行HPより）に相当します。当時は高級機であり、今で言うと大型液晶テレビのような存在でした。手放すのは惜しいですが、スペースの制約から出品することにしました。

保存状態が悪く、ハウジングの袴の一部が欠損し、内部の回路はコンデンサ液漏れによる腐食が進んでいました。さらに、ダイアル機構部欠損、RFコイル欠損、真空管の一部が不良であり、一時は再生を諦めかけました。幸いにも本品の回路図を入手でき、当時の音色を愛でたい方のために再生に取り組みました。真空管ソケット、スピーカ、バリコン、電源トランス以外の電子部品や配線はほぼ全て交換し、さらにキャビネットを再塗装し、スピーカ・ネットも張り替え、戦前の輝きとサウンドを復活させました。受信回路は中波のバンドに対応した高一再生方式のラジオで、受信にはちょっとしたコツが必要ですが、しっかりと聞こえます。これまでにレストアした真空管ラジオの中では受信性能が高く、テレビアンの技術がうかがえます。当時としては珍しい電蓄接続用の6mmφジャックを採用し、現代のスマホや音楽プレーヤを接続することも可能です。音楽プレーヤを繋いで音が鳴った瞬間、まるでタイムスリップしたかのような不思議な感覚が味わえます。
劣化した電子部品は新品に交換されているため、安心してご使用いただけます。ラジオ放送が続く限り、半世紀以上もお楽しみいただけるでしょう。書斎に飾って楽しんでいただく方、毎日ラジオを聴く方、レトロな音に酔いしれたい方、どうぞスローライフを満喫してください。

This item is not a replica; it is a genuine restoration of a radio originally presented by Yamanaka Electric Co., Ltd., founded in 1922 in Tokyo's Omori district with 21 employees. The radio, a 4-tube regenerative model introduced in 1938, has undergone meticulous restoration over approximately six months.During its founding era, the company coined the brand name "Televian," demonstrating a visionary approach in an era devoid of television broadcasting. Although Yamanaka Radio Electric was acquired by Toshiba in 1956, and "Televian" is no longer a current brand, there's a sense of closeness as the company had its headquarters and factory in Tokyo's Ota ward, where I reside.

Priced at 49.5 yen at the time of release, equivalent to about 86,000 yen today (based on the Bank of Japan's HP), this radio belonged to the category of high-end devices, akin to the presence and value of a large LCD television in today's living rooms. Despite the reluctance to part with it, space constraints prompted me to list it for sale.

The housing showed signs of poor storage, with partial loss of the base covering, and severe internal corrosion due to capacitor fluid leakage. Additionally, there were losses in the dial mechanism, RF coil, and two faulty vacuum tubes, while three choke transformers were severed, leading to a momentary consideration of abandoning the restoration. Fortunately, the circuit diagram for this item was available, and with a commitment to those who wish to hear the authentic sound of that era, the restoration was persevered.
With almost all electronic components and wiring, except for the vacuum tube sockets, speaker, varicon, and power transformer, being replaced, and further enhancements such as cabinet refinishing and speaker net replacement, the radio has splendidly revived the brilliance and sound of its pre-war release. As a radio with a high-fidelity regenerative system compatible with the medium-wave band, some knack is required for reception, but it delivers a clear and audible signal. Among the restored vacuum tube radios I have worked on, this one exhibits relatively high reception performance, offering a glimpse into Televian's technological prowess.
It comes equipped with a 6mmφ jack from the beginning, allowing you to connect your smartphone or music player and experience a unique sensation, akin to a time warp, the moment the music starts playing.

Since deteriorated electronic components have been replaced with new ones, you can use it with confidence. As long as radio broadcasts continue, it seems like it will keep going for at least another half-century. Whether you choose to display it in your study, listen to the radio every day, or immerse yourself in the retro sound by connecting a music player, please enjoy a slow life to the fullest.

① 本製品は山中無線電機製作所製「テレビアンＥＣ２８」です。付属品は音楽プレーヤ等接続用のステレオ延長ケーブルとなります。受信用の外部アンテナは絶対に必要ですので落札者様にてご手配願います。受信場所にもよりますがリード導線5m以上を屋外に設置し、背面のプッシュ端子(A1またはA2)に繋ぐだけでOKです。
This product is "Crown R60" manufactured by Nippon Seiki. The accessory is a stereo extension cable for connecting a music player, etc. An external antenna for reception is absolutely necessary and should be arranged by the successful bidder. (It depends on the reception location, but it is OK to install a lead wire of 5m or more outdoors and connect it to the push terminal (A2) on the back of the unit.

③ 本体寸法(Dimension)は28.3cm(幅W)ｘ39.5cm(高H) 18.3cm(奥D)、重量（Weight）は約6kgあり、存在感と重厚感があります。

④ 木製キャビネットは大変凝った作りでもはや工芸品です。再塗装しコンパウンドで研磨し高級家具の様に仕上げました。裏蓋が欠損していましたので安全のため当時の写真を参考に作成しました。
The wooden cabinet is made of solid wood and is a very elaborate piece of craftsmanship. It was repainted and polished with compound to make it look like high quality furniture. There was no back cover, so for safety reasons, I made it with a photo as a reference.

⑤ 使用真空管はＳＴ管のUY24B, UY24B，3YP1及び12Fの4球です。UY24Bと3YP1の2本が不良管でしたので中古品を探し出し交換しました。市場でまだ流通していて助かりました。
Four ST tubes were used: UY24B, UY24B, 3YP1, and 12F. Two of the tubes, UY24B and 3YP1, were defective, so I found ones and replaced them.

⑥ スピーカは８インチ（20センチ）・大型マグネット・スピーカを使用しています。コーン紙は水分を失って大変脆くなっていましたのでビニールコーティングで補強しました。大口径のスピーカからは大音量・高音質のサウンドが出力されます。付属の3.5mmステレオケーブルにて音楽プレーヤに接続し、スピーカでモノラルで聴くこともできます。
Large 8-inch Magnetic speaker is used which makes HiFi sound. The corn paper had lost moisture and had become very brittle, so it was reinforced with a vinyl coating. You can also listen to the sound of audio player by connecting with attached cable.

⑦ 周波数表示盤およびダイアル機構は欠損していましたので何とか代替品を探して組み立てました。表示部と機構部が一体となって動作することを確認しています。
The frequency display panel and dial mechanism were missing, so we managed to find replacement parts and assemble them. We have confirmed that the display section and the mechanism section are integrated and functioning together.

⑧ ＲＦコイル、再生コイルともに欠損していました。高一コイルセットとして市場で流通していた新品に交換済みです。いまでは作られていない超レアパーツです。Both the RF coil and regeneration coil were missing. They have been replaced with a high-frequency coil set that is currently circulating in the market. These are extremely rare parts that are no longer manufactured.

⑨ このラジオは再生式ラジオには珍しくボリュームがある設計です。左下にある可変抵抗器（ボリューム）は腐食が酷かったので新品と交換しました。This radio was designed with a volume, which is unusual for a regenerative radio. The variable resistor (volume) in the lower right corner was replaced with a new one because it was badly corroded.

⑩ スピーカ・ネットは堅牢なポリエステル製ネット新品に貼り替え済みです。オリジナルのベークライト製つまみはすべて洗浄済みです。
Speaker nets have been replaced with new robust polyester nets. All original Bakelite knobs have been cleaned.

⑪ 安全の為、電源ヒューズ、電源コードは電気用品安全法（PSE）対応の新品に交換済みですので安心してお使いください。
For electrical safety, Fuse, and power cable are replaced with PSE certified new.

⑫ 劣化の程度に関わらず、コンデンサ及び抵抗器は全て現在入手可能な同等規格の物と交換済みです。交換済み旧部品の写真をご確認ください。
Despite degradation level, variable resister, capacitors and resisters are all replaced with new parts with the same spec. Please refer picture of old parts and chassis picture of before rework.

⑬ 受信回路は調整済みです。現代のラジオと全く異なり、ラジオを受信するにはちょっとしたコツと慣れが必要です。ボリュームノブ（右）を半分回した後、真空管が温まるまで約20秒待って、再生ノブ（左）をゆっくりと回しビート音（ピュー音）が聞こえるギリギリの位置に設定します。チューニングノブ(中央)をゆっくり回しビート音が変化するポイントで止めます。再び、再生ノブをゆっくり回していくとビート音が消え、放送がスピーカから聞こえてきます。チューニングノブ、再生ノブを微調整し最もよく聞こえるポイントで受信します。在京キー局の受信確認が取れています。
音楽プレーヤ等を接続して聴きたい時は付属品の延長ケーブルをそれぞれオーディオジャックA1と音楽プレーヤのイヤホンジャックに差します。電源/音量ボリューム（右）を回しスイッチを投入します。真空管が温まるまとスピーカから音楽プレーヤで再生した音がモノラルで聞こえます。とても不思議です。音量は電源/音量ボリュームノブ（右）または音楽プレーヤ側のボリュームで調節します。
The receiving circuit has been adjusted. Unlike modern radios, receiving a radio requires a little trick. After turning the volume knob (Left), wait about 20 seconds for the vacuum tube to warm up, then slowly turn the regenerate knob (Right) to a position where the beat sound (pew sound) is just about audible. Turn the tuning knob (center) slowly and stop at the point where the beat sound changes. Turn the regenerate knob slowly again and the beat sound will disappear and the broadcast will be heard from the speakers. Turn tuning knob and regenerate knob to receive at the best audible point. Key stations in Tokyo have been confirmed to be received.

If you wish to connect a music player or other device, insert the stereo extension cables provided into the A1 audio jack and the earphone jack of the music player, respectively. Turn the center gain adjustment knob all the way to the left until it clicks into place, and then turn on the power switch. As soon as the tubes are warmed up, you will hear mono sound from the loudspeakers. It is very strange. The volume can be adjusted with the volume knob (right) or the volume on the music player.
